Our History The institution was founded as Escuela Maternal Elisita, a non-profit organization in 1987 in a place located at Carrera 12 No. 12-54, formed by a group of twelve students under the care of experts such as doctors, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists and preschool educators. It was created and started working in the city of Santa Marta, in order to provide working mothers with education and care for their children; therefore, the operation of the school depended on their work schedule. Taking into account that the Nursery School levels correspond to non-formal education and due to the wide coverage of the preschool level (Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Transition), and the Primary Basic level (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th), which belongs to formal education, it was necessary to change its name to Elisita Nursery School, which was approved by Resolution 176 of August 8, 1996. Years later the nursery school operates in its own building located in Barrio Bavaria 26 A Street No. 8-56; carrying out the foundations, objectives and purposes of the General Law of Education; complying fairly and harmoniously with the precepts issued by the MEN about forming people in accordance with the neo millennial demands that our society needs. Currently, according to the demands of today's society and as a result of the EFQM Quality certification process, initiated in 2010, the educational institution proposed changes and innovations approved by the Board of Directors of the same, expanding school coverage; Implementing Secondary Basic Education; starting in 2012 with the sixth and seventh grades; and consequently, the modification of the corporate name, shield and anthem of the school. Adopting the name of COLEGIO BILINGUAL ELISA DIAZGRANADOS SAS, starting in 2012.

Why we are bilingual? El colegio Bilingüe Elisa DiazGranados SAS se busca que los estudiantes entren en un proceso de aprendizaje del idioma inglés, que involucre los cinco componentes (escucha, lectura, escritura, monologo, conversación) comenzando desde el preescolar, llevándolos poco a poco a un alto nivel desempeño al finalizar su bachillerato. Para lograr esto se necesita un alto grado de compromiso por parte de los tres estamentos educativos: maestro-estudiante-padre de familia. Por otro lado, se pretende que los estudiantes demuestren un buen desempeño en las pruebas de estado y las pruebas internacionales, por ello se hace énfasis en la parte de comprensión de textos y entrenamiento en estas pruebas desde primero de primaria. ¿Qué son las lúdicas CBEDG? Es un proyecto de aprovechamiento del tiempo libre donde los estudiantes participan en las diferentes disciplinas deportivas de acuerdo a la preferencia de los alumnos. Por lo que las actividades lúdicas se convierten en una herramienta fundamental en nuestra institución para potenciar el aprendizaje, fortalecer habilidades sociales y promover el desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. A través del juego y el deporte, los estudiantes trabajan en equipo en un ambiente dinámico y motivador. Día del número PI El Día Internacional del Hombre se celebra el 19 de marzo, nació por iniciativa del Comité Internacional del Hombre, iniciada en Trinidad y Tobago, con el fin de destacar el rol positivo y las contribuciones del género masculino a la sociedad. Día del hombre El Día del Agua se celebra en nuestra institución con el propósito de concientizar a la comunidad educativa sobre la importancia del agua como recurso vital para la vida.
